Stretching the Legs

The family (okay, mom, brandon and i) did our Thanksgiving day grocery shop today before everything gets crazy and we can't find turkeys anymore.

Anyway, thanks to the crazy workout from yesterday, both Brandon and I are sore-pants. As a result, we didn't want to do anything too strenuous as it would be counterproductive to muscle repair. So, Brandon and I decided to just walk home from the grocery store - about 1.55 miles. It took us a little over 20 minutes and we actually started working through some of the soreness which is good.

In other news, we, perhaps misguidedly, signed up for a 4mi race on Thanksgiving - the Mile High United Way Turkey Trot. It will be interesting and it will probably not go as well as say, the Autumn Color Run, but we're planning on doing it together which will be good.

That, and it'll help us justify the turkey, pumpkin pie and assorted other goodies we devour later that day.

I had almost the same thing today! Was going to go for a run, got all suited up and everything, but my knees were acting up and I was really really really really sore from a gym workout yesterday. Don't know WHAT the heck I did but I can't sit down without moaning. It's kinda funny, but kinda not. Owwwww. Went for a long walk instead.

Tomorrow's another day!
